The Ess Bar situated within the Subiaco Village on Hay Street,  offers an alternative to the bustling Subiaco location.

The Bar was fully refurbished in December 2006 to reflect the more sophiscated needs of Subiaco. The fit out was based on Melbourne and Sydney bars and offers a multi use venue with an open and relaxing atmosphere with contemporary, yet modern and retro edge to it.

The Bar offers three main areas: The dining area, lounge bar and snug/function room.

The dining room seats some 80 people, offering booths and quality tables and chairs, with chairs being fabric covered.

The lounge provides tables, lounger seats and low modern "poufee" seating. This area is cleared on Friday's and Saturday's to provide bands such as Peace,Love and All That Stuff, Our Generation, and Headspace to play in.

The snug/function area provides tables, seating and has a gas fireplace. This area seats some 40 people or can be used for cocktail style stand up functions for up to 80 people.

The Ess Bar has been acoustically designed to maximise the internal sound quality while minimising sound effects to the local environment.

The Ess Bar is open 7 days a week, 11am till 10pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, 11am till 11pm Wednesday to Thursday, 11am till midnight Friday and Saturday and 12am till 10pm on Sundays.

New Chef

The Ess Bar is proud to announce our new Chef “Darryl” who is an award winning chef and previous owner of the Plum Restaurant in Sorrento.  He has brought to the Essbar some traditional favourites like “Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory”.  Our “Garlic Prawns are the Best in Subiaco and are cheaper than any other one in Subiaco.
